Construction Superintendent
Role
Tesla is looking for an experienced, dedicated and well organized Construction Superintendent to join our Facilities Construction team at our 5
million square foot factory in Fremont, CA. This position will require someone who is adaptable and flexible in a changing environment and who is passionate about delivering high quality results in a fast paced positive environment.
The Construction Superintendent will work closely with internal members of the Facilities design, engineering and project management departments. They will also work closely with the Project Manager and Senior Superintendent to supervise all on-site construction including scheduling of trade contractors, resolving day to day construction issues and performing day to day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager and Senior Superintendent in the development and updating of the CPM construction schedule
Coordinate, implement and monitor Assistant Superintendent training and development
Provide administrative support for the Senior Project Superintendent
Provide leadership to the Project Staff and the Project
Assist the Project Manager to track, review, and process change order requests, field work orders and, if applicable, claims
Assist the Project Manager and Senior Superintendent in preparing the quantity reports and analyzing the labor costs
Assist in all applicable safety programs on the Project
Assist in the preparation and execution of the Project closeout process
Issue hot work permits
Requirements
4 7 years construction project experience required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
General knowledge of construction principles/processes required
Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships with Tesla stakeholders
Experience managing Field Staff
