We are currently building our in house Passive Components Engineering staff and are looking for a talented Staff Optical Process Engineer to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to be responsible for optical network component, module design and development with emphasis on process development and engineering and other process related work, will conduct full cycle of NPI to launch new product in manufacturing.
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervise and lead a group of junior members and technicians in engineering and process development for new product introduction
Responsible for the execution of DFX(manufacturability, quality, cost, testability) in product development
Responsible for process technology, packaging design evaluation and introduction
Responsible for Failure Analysis support and process development on sustaining products
project management, Optical Design, manufacturing support
Position Qualifications
WORK
Experience:
10
years' experience of process and packaging development, engineering in fiber optics
Experience with MEMS, PLC, Liquid Crystal (LC's) is a plus
Strong Experience and knowledge on Opto mechanical packaging design and process
Strong Experience and knowledge on design for manufacturability/reliability (DFx), yield/cost analysis
Strong Experience on testing engineering, process development, quality tools (FMEA, DFMA, DOE, etc) and Telcordia qualification
EDUCATION:
BS in Optics, Physics, EE, Material or related engineering discipline
