What we do:
The Lead Embedded Application Software Architect is responsible for the architecture of the application software for our production vehicle.
This role collaborates with engineering departments to come up with an electrical hardware architecture for the vehicle and design the software architecture hosted on this hardware architecture and considers factors such as certifiability and future performance upgrades and begins the implementation of this software.

This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.
What you can do:
Design the software architecture for our vehicleManage and contribute to the technical implementation of the avionics application architecture by the software teamDesign and implement guidelines/procedures for the development of embedded safety-critical avionics application functionsDevelop requirements for the embedded software applications that are compliant with the application architectureDevelop embedded avionics applications to the requirementsAssist in building a lab for the testing and integration of the avionics applications and systemsWork directly with simulated, laboratory, and field test data to debug the softwareInterview candidates for the software teamProduce documentation in support of avionics systems certification to required standardsPartner with PMO organization to execute build planMay require up to 10% of domestic and international travelOther duties as assignedWhat you can contribute:
Bachelor s degree in engineering or other related fields required; Master s preferredMinimum of ten (10) years industry experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)Experience in avionics software, either military or civilianExperience with modeling tools (Matlab/Simulink or SCADE Suite)Experience in building/using an integration test lab for avionics testing/qualificationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive delivery of communication and follow upExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailMust have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraintsProficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office SuiteYou may also be able to contribute:
Experience with civilian aircraft development processes (ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-178C, DO-254) preferredExperience with display generation tools (any of iData, VapsXT, SCADE Display, GL Studio) preferredAny offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background check.

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
