We are seeking a skilled Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer with over 5
years of experience in Systems Engineering with exposure to robotics / automation to join our dynamic team.
As a Systems / Robotics Engineer at Mattson Technology, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of robotic systems within our semiconductor manufacturing processes.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of robotics technology into our production lines.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop robotic systems tailored to specific semiconductor manufacturing processes, considering factors such as precision, speed, and reliability.
Conduct feasibility studies and assess the technical requirements for integrating robotics solutions into existing manufacturing workflows.
Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, and automation specialists to ensure interdisciplinary compatibility and optimize system performance.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and schematics for robotic components, assemblies, and fixtures.
Prototype and test robotic mechanisms, actuators, grippers, and end-effectors to validate functionality and performance.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within semiconductor manufacturing operations, leveraging robotics technology.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues related to robotic systems during production.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in robotics, automation, and semiconductor manufacturing, and apply relevant insights to improve processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing robotic systems, preferably in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.
g.
, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and drafting.
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, kinematics, dynamics, and materials science.
Experience with robotic programming languages (e.
g.
, ROS, Python) and simulation tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to robotic systems and industrial automation.
