NPI Supply Chain Manager
The NPI Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the readiness, execution, and delivery of all NPI xVT builds to support hardware products for Meta Data CentersThis function requires strong understanding of the NPI product release process, principles and practices of purchasing and cost negotiation, all-encompassing commercial management, materials requirements planning, and the ability to work under minimum supervisionIn this role, the candidate will partner closely with Sourcing Managers, Manufacturing Quality Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and Hardware Engineering product teams to align commodity and sourcing strategies with product requirements, support TCO analysis, initiate tasks for purchase request, interface with suppliers on build and ship plans, draft statements of work and support BOM accuracy activities, amongst other responsibilities as outlined.
NPI Supply Chain Manager ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary liaison between ODM and Meta teams monitoring, managing and driving the ODM to assure build goals/schedule is being metWork cross-functionally to develop and manage product BOM and costAlignment of NPI BOMs to AVL, commodity technologies and risk mitigation strategiesEnsure contract fidelity and coverage for new technology developmentComplete TCO analysis to ensure project cost are meeting or beating cost objectivesEngage with partners to drive budget managementCommunicate forecast and verify fulfillment from a materials perspectivePropose and execute solutions to eliminate shortages impacting build and ship schedulesInteractions involve strategic and tactical procurement activities in a global environmentMinimum QualificationsExperience in activities around RFQ package creation, source selection, specification creation, cost analysis, and price negotiation with appropriate team members8
years of supply chain/materials experience in NPI environmentKnowledge of EMS/ODM/JDM/OEM business models, consignment & turnkey materials management, cost modeling, supply chain design, and reverse logisticsDemonstrated experience driving a plan to bring resolution to differing opinions, reaching out across functional boundaries to drive collaboration and sharing credit in a team environmentExperience using Oracle BOM management toolsExperience sourcing and managing global (Asia, EU, LATAM) suppliers and manufacturing partnersBachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain or 8
