The successful candidate will provide leadership, management, and support to the surgery department, ensuring a high standard of patient care, efficient workflow, and effective schedule management.
You'd be a great fit if you have:
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on clinical veterinary surgery experience A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of professionals Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and clients The ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Your primary responsibilities are:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the surgery department Scheduling and supervising staff, including approving time cards and managing staff call-outs Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes Ensuring the maintenance of accurate records and documentation, including patient medical records and department inventory Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to health and safety Organizing and supporting anesthetic coverage for emergency/mobile surgeries after hours Performing other related duties as required or as assigned About Our Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Practice:
